Job Summary
This is a Safety Sensitive Position
In the interest of protecting the safety of all employees and ensuring the safe use of our products for the end user, Sumida America Inc has classified all positions as “safety sensitive.” A “safety sensitive” position is any job position in which impaired performance could result in harm to the health and/or safety of self or others. Any employee or applicant that is actively engaged in the use of medical marijuana, even if in possession of a valid medical marijuana card, will be excluded from employment in a “safety sensitive” position.
Performs repetitive workstation or line assembly operations to mass produce components or to assemble those components as instructed by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
· Performs any assembly-type functions, using hand or power tools.
· Installs lights and wiring.
· Operates any equipment needed to perform job.
· Performs related duties as needed by supervision.
· Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
· Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
· Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required per P.M. charts.
· Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed and uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
