What you will be doing:
- Manage the Facility’s air, waste water and storm water permits and maintain compliance with the same.
- Manage the Facility’s hazardous waste disposal and solid waste recycling activities.
- Train, equip and supervise the Facility’s Emergency Response Team.
- Oversee safety compliance, the sites Safety Based Observation System and achieving safety incident goals.
- Conduct EHS incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action.
- Oversee contractor safety activities.
- Manage the Facility’s ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
- Work with EHS regulators and inspectors regarding regulatory programs, permits and compliance matters.
- Assist with internal EHS auditing.
- Develop and conduct EHS training as needed.
- Oversee and maintain Process Safety Management, Risk Management Program and related Process Hazard Analysis, Management of Change and Pre Startup Safety Review activities and systems.
- Oversee sight security activities.
- Employees are expected to read and follow the environmental and safety (EHS) requirements associated with their assigned duties, complete required EHS training on time, wear prescribed personal protective equipment and report all hazardous situations they observe and any injuries or incidents they experience or become aware of. Employees are also expected to fully participate in safety activities, drills and meetings as directed by supervision.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- The work involves substantial walking and standing.
- No unusual physical requirements pertaining to this position other than normal sitting, bending, standing and lifting of objects of up to 50 pounds, in specific work areas.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
- Bachelor Degree in a science related field. Minimum of five years of Environmental, Health and Safety experience at a manufacturing facility and/or equivalent education and experience.
- Interpersonal skills adequate to influence, without direct authority, facility Environmental, Health and Safety efforts.
- Practical and hands-on experience in interpreting and meeting the regulatory requirements of Occupational Safety Health Administration, Department of Transportation and the Environmental Protection Agency.
- Training and experience in HAZMAT responses and response team management
(Air permitting, Industrial Waste Water, Industrial Safety, Hazardous Waste, Occupational Safety, OSHA Compliance, Risk Management, Emergency Response, Semi-conductor)

Pay: $105,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
