Engineer Development Pathway
Program Structure & Timeframes
Phase 1 (0–6 Months): Immersion & Rotations
- Hands-on exposure to turbine rotor repair workflow
- Rotations through balance, machining, rotor build/stretch, and inspection
- Goal: Build foundational knowledge and adaptability
- Focus on a chosen discipline (Balance/Rotor Dynamics, Machining, Rotor Assembly, Inspection)
- Advanced technical training and certifications
- Goal: Achieve proficiency and independence in core tasks
- Deliver a measurable improvement project for the division or company
- Demonstrate leadership and problem-solving skills
- Goal: Prepare for transition to salaried role
- Positions may include Project Manager, Technical Representative, Production/Manufacturing Engineer, or Supervisor-in-Training
- Goal: Apply technical expertise in a leadership or customer-facing capacity
- Career path toward Technical Expert or Operations Leadership
