This role requires close collaboration with sales, engineering, procurement, and finance teams to develop winning submissions and support business growth.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage RFQs, tenders, and purchase orders
- Evaluate supplier offers for commercial, technical, and quality compliance
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms
- Ensure adherence to nuclear quality standards and documentation requirements
- Coordinate with engineering, quality, and production teams
- Track orders, expedite deliveries, and resolve supplier issues
- Keep department manager apprised of future opportunities.
- Advise management of changes in current order and tender status.
- Actively involved with standardization and continuous improvement processes.
- Maintain quote and order files.
- Adheres to company and department policies, procedures, and standards
- Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide LEAN and QESH Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, a related field, or relative work experience.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in tendering, purchasing, cost estimation, or bid management in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting BOMs and technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and cost structures.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP), SalesForce and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) preferred but not required.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
