The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for researching, planning, designing, and developing mechanical products and systems. This includes instruments, controls, engines, and machines used in energy production, transmission, and measurement.
This job profile is intended for early-career professionals who apply broad theoretical knowledge and require the ability to investigate and analyze problems. Solutions are typically discussed/verified with a more senior member.
This job and its associated grade are specifically aligned with roles that have the following scope of responsibility: Small, Medium, Large organization.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical and electromechanical systems.
Conduct research and testing to validate designs.
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams.
Ensure compliance with technical standards.
Document and present engineering findings.
Skills & Qualifications
Typically a University degree (or equivalent work experience) and up to 2 years of relevant experience (or equivalent skills) are minimally required to carry out the role.
Proficiency in mechanical design and simulation tools.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Eagerness to develop technical expertise.
