OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Air Sprayer to join our team for the day shift. As an Air Sprayer, you will play a crucial role in applying protective coatings to various surfaces using various techniques. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing the durability, corrosion resistance, and performance of critical components.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces by cleaning, grit blasting, and masking as necessary to ensure proper adhesion of thermal spray coatings.
- Air Spray Application: Apply paints and/or slurries using HVLP/conventional spray equipment.
- Material Selection: Select appropriate materials based on project requirements and specifications.
- Quality Control: Inspect coated surfaces for uniformity, thickness, and adherence to standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of coating parameters, material usage, and process details.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of air spray equipment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, engineers, and supervisors to meet production goals and quality standards.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance on air spray equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the coating process.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience: Previous experience in air spraying is preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Precision and meticulousness in coating application to achieve consistent results.
- Safety Consciousness: Strict adherence to safety guidelines and protocols.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Documentation Skills: Accurate record-keeping and documentation.
- Physical Stamina: The role involves standing, lifting, and working in a variety of environments.
- Shift Availability: This is a permanent night shift position. Dayshift training period will be included before transitioning into night shift.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to learn turbomachinery equipment basics.
· Physical ability to work in a shop environment.
· Ability to safely operate forklifts.
· Be available to work overtime when necessary.
· Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.19 - $27.93 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
