* Manufacturing Engineer will effectively create customer work orders and drawings to suite specific customers' needs. Will talk to customer and gather pertinent information to the project.
* Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality
control standards, or product design, materials and parts.
* Provide pricing of machining material to new and existing customers' needs.
* Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing.
* Create work orders to specify processes that need to be undertaken to machine a product.
* Create blueprint drawings using AutoCAD or other drafting software.
* Review product designs for manufacturability and completeness.
* Communicate manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes.
* Provide excellent onsite customer service to customers.
* Use measurement tools.
* Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness.
* Investigate or resolve operational problems such as material use variances and bottlenecks.
* Estimate costs, production times, or staffing requirements for new designs.
