About the role Job SummarySulzer Pump Services is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to manage 12 locations nationwide. You will be responsible for setting up, supporting, and continuous improvement of the Pump Services Product Line and its supply chain management program.
- Identifyingand managing relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring thetimelyacquisition of raw materials and components.
- Coordinating the transportation, warehousing, and storage of goods to ensure they reach their destinations efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Maintainingappropriate stocklevels of materials and finished products, analyzing inventory data, and ensuring enough supplies are available for production and customer orders.
- Forecasting demand, planning production schedules, and coordinating with manufacturing teams to align output with market needs.
- Building andmaintainingstrong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and customers to ensure smooth collaboration and address issues.
- Continuously reviewing and analyzing existing logistical functions and processes toidentifyareas for improvement and developing policies to increase efficiency.
- Identifyingand implementing strategies to minimize costs throughout the supply chain, from sourcing to delivery.
- Streamlining processes andoptimizingresource allocation to increase output and improve overall operational performance.
- Ensuringtimelyand reliable delivery of products to customers, which contributes to a positive customer experience.
- Utilizing performance data and analytics to make informed decisions and guide strategies for improvement.
- Identifyingpotential issues within the supply chain, such as supply disruptions or sudden spikes in demand, and developing strategies to mitigate these risks.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree inmechanicalengineering orsimilartechnical degree OR
- Bachelor's degree in business relevant to supply chain, vendor management,businessanalysis
5Yearsrelevant experience in manufacturing with supply chain management and business analysis responsibilities
Minimum of 5-year P&L responsibility
