SummaryThe College of Education is seeking a terminally degreed (e.g., PhD or EdD} candidate with at least 5 years of experience as an educator in the PK-12 setting for a faculty position in teacher preparation. This role is set (primarily} at the International campus location (operations in Eagle Pass, Del Rio, and Uvalde}. The successful candidate should have experience teaching in an academic content area (e.g., math, science, ELAR, and/or science}, a demonstrable record of success as an educator, a certification (in good standing) in an academic category in the teaching class, and experience working with students with special needs and/or with EB/EL students. Preference will be given to candidates with EC-6 certification, bilingual/ESL certification, and/or with those who are certified to work with students served in Special Education. Preference will also be given to candidates with experience as an instructional coach and/or to those who have experience in writing curriculum.ScopeCollege of Education FacultyDutiesEssential: Once in appointment, the new faculty member will be responsible for performance in the areas of teaching, research, and service with greater attention being given to teaching and service.
