Parts Advisor

Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive service and repair, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service while managing inventory and sales. As a Parts Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our customers receive the right parts for their vehicles efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in identifying and purchasing the correct automotive parts and accessories.
• Manage inventory levels, ensuring that stock is maintained and organized.
• Utilize inventory management systems (CMMS) to track parts availability and order fulfillment.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of sales transactions using POS systems.
• Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely parts delivery for vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy in stock levels.
• Engage in retail sales activities, promoting products and services to customers.
• Utilize effective negotiation skills to assist customers with pricing and special orders.
• Maintain a clean and organized parts department, including stocking shelves and managing displays.

Requirements

• Proven experience in automotive service, repair, or dealership environments is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and repair processes.
• Familiarity with inventory control practices and retail math principles.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking inventory and sales data.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately, demonstrating strong cashiering skills.
• Experience with customer service roles, showcasing an ability to build rapport with clients.
• Knowledge of marketing strategies related to automotive parts sales is advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Pay: $42,475.56 - $65,000.00 per year
