This position will perform vehicle repairs and services (including road service) on customer’s vehicles while also delivering the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Properly adhere to safety and environmental standards which includes maintaining a neat and clean work area by disposing of all waste products properly.
- Properly perform and document vehicle safety inspections.
- Perform preventive maintenance on customer vehicles including lube, oil, and filter changes.
- Perform diagnosis and minor mechanical repairs of customer vehicles.
- Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives, adjusting systems worked on.
- Produce accurate repair estimates on customer vehicles.
- Communicate with customer and/or sales staff in understandable terms the repairs needed to the vehicle and the value that comes with the repairs.
- Perform on the road repairs.
- Assume other responsibilities as assigned by manager or senior mechanics.
- Operates company vehicles safely and according to company policies and procedures, and follows all federal, state and local laws regarding vehicle operations and safety.
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. Technical degree a plus.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with appropriate certifications, preferred with own mechanical tools.
- Valid Drivers license with DOT medical card required.
- Ability to lift 125 lbs
