We are looking for an experienced Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team at an upscale fine dining restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a commitment to providing the highest quality of food. "Always be able to stand by the food you make." The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing meals according to the restaurant's recipes, as well as ensuring that all food is cooked and presented to the highest standards. Previous experience in a fine dining/fast paced restaurant is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
- Prepare meals in a timely manner.
- Be respectful to those around you.
- Be on time and ready.
- Having your own knives is a plus
- Communicate any issues with the restaurant manager.
