Responsibilities
- Operate laundry machines washers and dryers.
- Handle materials safely using push carts and manual handling techniques to transport laundry items efficiently across the facility.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks while adhering to safety protocols to prevent injuries during linen movement or bulk laundry processing.
- Maintain cleanliness standards by sanitizing work areas, equipment, and linen storage spaces according to safety standards in production.
- Assist with general housekeeping duties as needed to support overall cleanliness of the facility.
Experience
- Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or laundry services is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices, safety standards in production environments, and proper handling of laundry detergents is beneficial.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and materials handling with push carts or other equipment.
- Basic math skills are helpful for managing inventory counts or processing laundry loads accurately.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guest interactions are highly valued.
