Barista

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced café environment. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean workspace, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your role will be pivotal in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate the POS systems for processing transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including workstations, equipment, and dining areas.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Assist with food preparation and ensure compliance with food safety standards during service.
• Handle cash transactions, including cash handling and basic math calculations for accurate change.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
• Uphold the highest standards of food handling practices in accordance with health regulations.

Skills

• Previous barista experience or coffee experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
• Proficient in time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
• Familiarity with POS systems (Toast) is an advantage.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and food preparation techniques within the food industry.
