Responsibilities
- Prepare and present sushi dishes in accordance with restaurant recipes and standards.
- Ensure the quality of ingredients used in sushi preparation meets health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling practices.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan menus and create innovative sushi offerings.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques and food safety protocols.
- Engage with customers to provide excellent service and address any dietary preferences or restrictions.
Skills
- Extensive experience in the food industry, particularly in fine dining or sushi restaurants.
