What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sushi Chef position at SUKA SUSHI?
Seeking motivated Sushi Chefs ( as well as Sushi Helpers, Kitchen Helpers, Dishwashers, & Cashiers) to join our team. You will assist in daily ingredient prep, sushi roll production, packing sushi into our containers, cleaning the space organized and clean, and upholding the quality of sushi and cleanliness of our product/kitchen. Our business model is designed to be a grab-&-go without sacrificing quality. This means our team need to be prepared to create high volume amount of rolls daily in order to keep up with customer demand. We are open to training individuals willing to learn as long as they have some form of kitchen experience.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare uramaki rolls & related items
- Manage inventory levels of ingredients and relevant supplies
- Prep ingredients to company standards
- Prepare sushi rice to uphold both quality and consistency
- Attention to detail in the sushi making process while optimizing speed of creating sushi rolls
- Keep kitchen and equipment clean and organized
Qualifications:
Food Protection Certificate (strongly preferred)
1 years kitchen experience
Understanding of sushi making process and equipment
