Schedule
- 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of the manufacturing facility.
- Assist and support the production, packaging, supply, warehouse, and maintenance departments to ensure a safe workplace and compliance with safety standards.
- Assist with investigations of accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and internal policy and procedures.
- Maintain and update safety data sheets (SDS) for all hazardous materials used in the manufacturing process.
- Conduct PPE assessments, submit requisitions for safety supplies, and manage PPE inventory.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to environmental, health, and safety.
- Participate, engage and help lead the Safety Committee
- Assist with safety training and/or drills as needed.
- Participate in regulatory inspections and coordinate responses as necessary.
- Stay informed about changes in relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Adhere to SOP, SSOP, GMP, and HACCP guidelines when in the plant.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Occasional overtime
- Other duties as assigned.
- May perform similar and incidental duties as required.
Education
- High School education is required; college degree preferred.
- 1 year of experience in an EHS role or 2 years of experience in beverage manufacturing or a related industry.
- Familiarity with or a willingness to learn risk assessment and hazard analysis methodologies is required.
- Interest in the development and delivery of EHS training programs is essential.
- The candidate should express a desire to pursue a career in EHS.
- This position may require forklift certification, operation, and adherence to strict safety protocols to maintain certification and prevent accidents and injuries.
- Basic knowledge of forklift maintenance, routine inspections, and precise loading/unloading of materials is essential.
- Knowledge
- Familiarity with or a willingness to learn OSHA or CAL/OSHA regulations, waste management, pollution prevention, and ergonomic assessments and control measures is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including the use of email and internet functions, is essential.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities, are required.
- Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated capacity to lead by example, work independently, and maintain organizational and detail-oriented approaches.

- Regular contact with corporate cross-functional partners, manufacturing Team Members, and the Management Team.
- Occasional contact with vendors.
- This role requires regular desk work and regular presence on the manufacturing floor.
- Cold, wet manufacturing facility (below 40°F)
- Occasional work in:
- Dry warehouse (up to 85°F)
- Freezer conditions (as low as –10°F)
- Tight/confined workspaces
- Loud environment (above 85 dBA)
- Requires strict adherence to safety protocols
- Mandatory use of PPE:
- Safety glasses
- Ear protection
- Steel-toed shoes
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks efficiently and safely.
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.
- Requires time in front of a computer screen for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs with continuous motion.
- Able to push and pull up to 100lbs with continuous motion.
- Comfortable navigating around manufacturing equipment and tight spaces.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, overhead reaching with both arms, stooping, squatting, and twisting.
- Able to climb ladders and stairs and work at heights when required.
- Regular use of hands for handling, grasping, and controlling objects.
- Good grip strength and manual dexterity required.
- Occasional exposure to moving machinery.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical exam.
