Sanitation Worker (1st Shift)

Position SummaryA Sanitation worker is a cleaning crew member whose duties are to clean and sanitize the food beverage plant to meet Quality Control and Bacterial Standards imposed by Suja Life customers and applicable governmental agencies, such as the FDA.Schedule: 1st Shift: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM, Sunday - ThursdayEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesClean and sanitize the plant quickly and efficientlyWorkaround large processing equipment in which chemicals will complete the sanitation process.Must be able to work as a team along with other members of the crewAssist in transporting heavy equipment with forklifts, pallet jacks, carts or other devicesMaintain and store records as neededHand sweep or shovel debris and rubbishGather and empty trash containers as requestedPerform heavy manual labor such as scrubbing, brushing, water rinsing, using foamers, etc.Adhere to SOP, SSOP, GMP, and HACCP guidelines when in the plant.Regular and reliable attendance.Working and Environmental ConditionsWork performed in a wet, refrigerated manufacturing environment (below 40°F)Occasional tasks in a dry warehouse environment (up to 85°F)Possible exposure to freezer conditions (as low as –10°F)Tight workspaces and consistent exposure to loud noise levels (above 85 dBA)Mandatory use of PPE, including safety glasses, ear protection, and steel-toed shoesMust be able to perform repetitive tasks safely and efficientlyPhysical DemandsAbility to stand and walk for the duration of the shiftLift and carry hoses, equipment, and chemical containers (up to 50 lbs) with continuous motionPush and pull up to 100 lbs with continuous motionPerform repetitive bending, kneeling, overhead reaching, stooping, squatting, and twistingClimb ladders and stairs; work at heights as neededRegularly use hands to grasp, handle, and control objects with strong grip strength and manual dexterityOccasional exposure to moving machineryMust be able to pass a fit-for-duty physical examBenefitsCome join the Suja Life!
