Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment including backhoes, excavators, bulldozers, tractors, and other machinery as needed.
- Perform excavation, grading, trenching, material moving, and site preparation in accordance with project specifications.
- Inspect, maintain, and perform basic troubleshooting on equipment to ensure safe working condition.
- Follow safety guidelines, company policies, and OSHA regulations at all times.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and site personnel to coordinate work.
- Complete assigned tasks on time and to quality standards.
- Assist with loading/unloading materials and perform manual labor as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as backhoe, excavator, bulldozer, and tractor.
- Knowledge of equipment capabilities, limitations, and safe operating procedures.
- Ability to read and follow project plans, blueprints, or grade stakes (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality.
- Physical ability to sit for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varying outdoor conditions.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
