The Place:
Suite Life Pet Resort is a Premier Pet Resort in Oak Ridge, TN offering Overnight Boarding, Dog Daycare, Grooming Services, and a Dog Bakery. This job will include BOTH working with Dogs (and Cats) and their 2-legged parents as well! We are a family-owned business, and our clients are like family to us as well! We strive to offer the VERY BEST customer service and guest services in the industry! We are the “vacation destination” for Pet’s when their Humans must go to work or out of town. Just as our clients are like family, so is our team! We ARE a TEAM and work as a TEAM and have one major requirement of all staff, and that is that NO DRAMA will be allowed nor tolerated.
The Job:
Work Hours: Shifts start as early as 6:30am and end as late as 7pm, 7days a week. Typically you will work 25-40 hours a week.
Please note, this is NOT a "Sit down" job! You will be standing, walking, and bending 95% of your shift.
The care of our 4-legged guests is our #1 Priority! This is a “hands-on” job that includes: Feeding, exercising, monitoring playtimes, room service (this is cleaning pet accommodations, or better known as “kennel work”), documentation of eliminations and eating habits, guest wellness exams, and bathing pets are just a few of the daily activities you could be doing.
In addition to Pet Care, there are also light office duties such as answering the phone, answering texts and emails from clients, making reservations, greeting guests and clients as they check-in/out, using our pet industry software system to monitor daily activities, and giving potential customers walk-in tours of our facility.
The Applicant:
- Must be responsible enough to be on time and work your scheduled shifts.
- Must be energetic, self-starting, and able to work independently.
- Applicants absolutely MUST be dependable because the 4-legged guests in our care depend on US.
- You must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- You must have your own cell phone.
- You must have an eye for detail, a love for PEOPLE as well as a love for their dogs!
**Please understand that our “busy season” is during School Breaks, Summer Break, and over any and all Holiday’s even 3 Day Weekends and we WORK during these times. If you are not willing to work during these times, please do not apply.**
What we offer:
We start everyone in this position at $13hr, BUT what you make is really up to you because we offer unlimited opportunity for advancement!
**If you have "OPEN AVAILABILITY", meaning you can work ANY shift, ANY day of the year. We will start you out at $15 per hour!**
Upon completion of online training courses, you get a raise! This is normally done within your first 30 days! From there, we promote pay based on performance and also have a commission bonus plan in place for the Front desk portion of the job.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
