About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will support the design and development of flexible shafts, mechanical components, and manufacturing equipment while working closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams.

You will collaborate with engineering, sales, quality, purchasing, and production teams to bring new products to life and support improvements to existing designs.
What You’ll Do
Product Design & Development
- Support the design and development of flexible shafts, components, and mechanical assemblies
- Create 3D CAD models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks
- Convert customer requirements and engineering concepts into manufacturable designs
- Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles to improve efficiency and production readiness
- Assist with prototype builds, product testing, and performance evaluations
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation
- Participate in Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and product updates
- Support new product launches, including prototypes, samples, and documentation
- Help troubleshoot design, materials, and manufacturing challenges
RFQ & Project Support
- Support the Request for Quote (RFQ) process in partnership with the Sales team
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, purchasing, suppliers, and production to gather technical information
- Evaluate technical feasibility, materials, and manufacturing considerations
- Track RFQ progress and ensure timelines are met
- Assist with technical cost analysis and supplier evaluations
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in mechanical engineering, product design, or manufacturing engineering
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D modeling
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (English and metric)
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Familiarity with APQP tools such as Control Plans, PFMEA, and Process Flow Diagrams
- Understanding of mechanical design fundamentals (statics, dynamics, strength of materials, material properties)
Additional Skills
- Experience with product development or design validation
- Knowledge of pneumatics, sensors, switches, or servo systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and curiosity for learning

- Effective communication and collaboration across teams
- Comfortable working with engineers, suppliers, and customers

- Ability to work hands-on with equipment during testing or troubleshooting
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
- Regular standing, walking, bending, and sitting
