About the Role
SugarOak Realty is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Fellow for a hands-on, entry-level role designed for a recent graduate interested in building a career in brokerage.
This position provides direct exposure to live deals, active listings, and client interactions across retail, office, land, and energy-related properties. The role begins with structured support across research, marketing, and operations, with a clear path toward becoming a licensed commercial real estate agent.
This is not a traditional internship—this is a career-track role with training, mentorship, and long-term growth potential. This role will begin part-time, with a clear path to transition into a full-time position by Fall 2026. The position starts as an hourly role over the summer and transitions to a salaried role with benefits upon obtaining a real estate license. Ideal for Spring 2026 graduates.
Responsibilities
Listing & Marketing Support
- Assist with creating and updating property listings
- Build and update marketing flyers using Canva
- Organize listing materials for internal and external use
Broker & Deal Support
- Assist with responding to inbound inquiries
- Provide property details including highlights, pricing, and materials
- Support brokers with proposals, reports, and deal coordination
Research & Market Analysis
- Conduct market research using CoStar and internal databases to support active deals and business development efforts
- Assist with site selection analysis, including land, infrastructure, and energy-related due diligence
- Support the firm’s energy and data center initiatives, working on opportunities at the forefront of the AI-driven demand for real estate
- Collaborate with landowners and participate in site selection processes alongside some of the largest data center developers in the world
- Compile reports, maps, and summaries for active opportunities and client presentations
Operations & Administrative Exposure
- Schedule meetings, calls, and property tours
- Assist with document organization and deal files
- Visit properties for photos, signage, or site coordination
Training & Growth Path
- Exposure to brokerage fundamentals and deal process
- Mentorship from active brokers
- Support toward obtaining a real estate license
Qualifications
- Spring 2026 graduates or early-career professional (0–2 years experience)
- Bachelor’s degree required (real estate, finance, business, or related preferred)
- Strong interest in commercial real estate brokerage
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Professional communication skills
Technical Skills
- Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with Canva
Preferred (Not Required)
- Internship or experience in real estate, finance, or sales
- Familiarity with CoStar or Crexi
