What are the responsibilities and job description for the Founding General Manager position at sugarmtn?
We're not looking for a traditional General Manager. We're looking for someone who can build a community. The person who remembers names, works the room, builds relationships effortlessly, and can turn a first-time guest into a regular. The person who brings energy to a team, creates a great atmosphere, and gets people excited to be part of something.
If people describe you as energetic, outgoing, approachable, and someone who makes things happen, we'd love to talk.
Seattle Commute? Easy.
Yukon's first location is opening in Redmond, just steps from the Marymoor Village Light Rail Station. Literally hop off the train and walk about a minute to work.
No fighting Eastside traffic. No stressful commute.
What You'll Do
Create the Vibe
- Build relationships with guests and create regulars
- Set the tone for hospitality and energy
- Be the face of Yukon in the community
- Turn great experiences into loyal customers
Build a Team People Want to Be On
- Recruit, hire, and develop great people
- Coach future leaders
- Create a culture that's fun, accountable, and high-performing
- Lead from the floor, not from behind a desk
Run the Business
- Own scheduling, labor, inventory, and ordering
- Ensure food quality and consistency
- Follow and improve systems and processes
- Deliver strong business results
Who You Are
- People naturally gravitate toward you
- You bring energy wherever you go
- You're confident without having an ego
- You know how to motivate a team
- You thrive in fast-paced environments
- You love hospitality, food, and bringing people together
- You're excited by the idea of building something from the ground up
We're more interested in who you are and how you lead people than whether you've held a General Manager title before. We can teach systems and processes. What we can't teach is the ability to create an environment where guests and team members genuinely want to be.
Build the team. Create the culture. Become the reason people keep coming back.
