Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), MA or CNA to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient assessment, and nursing practices.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Document patient information accurately in EMR and EHR systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patient interactions.
- Wound care, such as cleaning, dressing, and assisting with sutures or incision and drainage.
- Applying splints and slings for suspected fractures and other injuries.
- Point of care testing, including blood glucose testing, urine dipsticks in office, urine pregnancy tests, strep tests, influenza tests, COVID tests, and mononucleosis tests.
- Provide direct patient care. Preference for individuals who can administer medications and injections as prescribed, but not required.
- Preference for individuals who can assist with IV insertion and venipuncture as needed for patient treatment, but not required.
Skills /Education/License and Certifications
- Current unrestricted Wyoming Registered Nurse or Practical Nurse license
- Nursing degree required for RNs, Certificate required for LPNs, MAs and CNAs.
- A minimum of two years of nursing experience preferred, or comparable experience
- Current ACLS certification, preferred.
- Current BLS certification, preferred.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices and terminology relevant to nursing.
- Excellent patient assessment skills with a solid foundation in physiology and anatomy knowledge.
- Experience working with EMR systems for efficient medical record management.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while providing compassionate patient care.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
