Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable, compassionate and professional Occupational Health nurse to join our patient -centered healthcare team. This position will begin as part-time and is expected to evolve into a full-time role by March 1, 2027. The ideal candidate will provide quality care in a fast-paced walk-in clinic setting while supporting providers, staff and potential employees and employers with excellent clinical and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist providers with occupational health assessments, treatments and procedures.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, workplace injury concerns, and patient information.
- Administer medications, injections, drug and alcohol screenings, and basic clinical care as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate patient records and follow clinic and occupational health protocols.
- Provide friendly, respectful, and professional service to patients and employers.
- Learn QuickBooks and assist with monthly invoicing responsibilities.
- Support smooth clinic workflow and collaborate with the healthcare team.
Skills /Education/License and Certifications
- Current nursing license or certification, as required for the position.
- Previous occupational medicine, occupational health, clinic, urgent care, walk-in clinic, or primary care experience is a plus.
- Will be required to obtain certifications for NIOSH pulmonary function testing and CAOHC audiometry testing, at clinic's expense.
- Will be required to obtain Department of Transportation drug and alcohol collections certifications, at clinic's expense.
- Strong communication, organization, documentation, and patient-care skills.
- Ability to work effeciently in a busy clinical environment.
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
