Duties
- Provide attentive pet care, including feeding, administering medications, and monitoring health status
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills
- Assist with pet boarding, grooming, and daily cleaning of kennels and common areas to ensure sanitation standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness of the facility through sanitization, waste disposal, and equipment cleaning
- Engage in outdoor work activities such as walking dogs or supervising playtime to promote animal activity and well-being
- Support team lifting efforts when moving animals or supplies to ensure safety for all staff and pets
Qualifications
- Prior veterinary experience, veterinary technician experience, or animal care background preferred but not required—training available for eager learners
- Experience in pet sitting, dog training, or kennel work is highly valued
- Strong animal handling skills with knowledge of animal behavior and restraint techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Knowledge of pet grooming, sanitation procedures, and facility cleaning standards is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

- Our staff works split shifts where they work 7am - 12pm and come back and work 3pm - 6pm. Can you commit to a split shift schedule?
- Holidays and weekends are when we are busiest, so we do require availability during those times. Are there any scheduling restrictions you may have?
