TITLE: Loan Servicing Specialist
DEPARTMENT: Loan Dept
REPORTS TO: Loan Servicing Supervisor
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
- To represent Sugar River Bank by projecting a professional image thru actions and appearance.
- Provide exceptional service to our customers by adhering to all service standards
- Look for and capitalize on opportunities to continually expand the Bank?s relationship with each
and every customer
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process new loans and service current loan portfolio
- Enter new loan and existing loan data on computer
- Service secondary market loans as well as in-house loan portfolio
- Scan loan documents using Synergy
- Process all insurance documents, ensuring to be in compliance
- Provide outstanding internal service and be a valued, supportive team member to all fellow associates.
- To adhere to all Bank policies and follow your department?s procedures.
- To understand and adhere to all compliance regulations as they pertain to the Bank and/or department
- To review policies and procedures in conjunction with best practices of internal controls
- To assist in the development of written procedures for the loan operations area
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Individual must be able to perform data entry functions via a keypad or numeric keypad. Must have the ability to communicate with customers in a professional and business like manner, communicate effectively via the telephone. Individual must have the ability to maintain harmonious relationships with all co-workers. Must be able to follow and understand written procedures and have the ability to perform diversified duties requiring a general knowledge of banking. Also must demonstrate strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel, have a willingness to learn new software as needed. Good organizational skills, ability to multi-task, be flexible and work independently with minimal guidance. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/FUNCTIONS:
Insurance policies and changes-scan, follow up on, send letters as required
Review daily reports
Check back new loans
Work the ?in? basket (Enter new loans, action request forms, extensions, maintenance etc)
Prepare payoff request
Process paid loans
Process charge off requests
Process monthly reports for secondary market including SBA and MGIC
Daily maintenance of ODP accounts
Pay escrow items
Answer customer/branch phone calls
Work Fridays until 6:00 pm and Saturdays till 12:00 pm on a rotating schedule
Perform other duties as assigned
SECONDARY DUTIES/FUNCTIONS:
Assist areas with research
Keep up to date with regulatory updates and changes
Enhance knowledge utilizing BVS, CFT and other educational opportunities
Some evening and/or weekend work on a minimal basis may be necessary
