Responsibilities
- Assessing the development needs of the students and planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities.
- Maintaining a healthy and safe classroom environment that is also fun and supports play, exploration, and learning.
- Nurture the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth and development of each child.
- Establish positive and productive relationships with families and colleagues.
Physical demands
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs
- Must be able to spend time on the floor engaged in play with children.
Education
High school diploma (required)
90hrs Child Development/Infant Toddler (preferred) or be willing to complete the courses in the first year. Sugar Plums will pay 50% of 90hr class fee.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff members are vaccinated. The center is regularly cleaned and sanitized by the cleaning crew. Parents drop off and pick up at the doors.

Experience:
- Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
- Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
