Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The Lead Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment while guiding assistant teachers and supporting each child’s individual growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with early learning standards
- Create a nurturing, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
- Observe, document, and assess children’s development and learning progress
- Maintain daily communication with families and build strong relationships
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom staff
- Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and school policies
- Promote positive behavior guidance and social-emotional development
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom
Qualifications
- CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 1–2 years experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
- Previous Lead Teacher experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of child development, classroom management, and early learning standards
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must pass background checks and meet state licensing requirements
Compensation
- Hourly Pay Range: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour, based on education, experience, and credentials
