Montessori Toddler Teacher (18 Months–3 Years)
We are seeking a warm, patient, and passionate Montessori Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate is committed to authentic Montessori education and creating a peaceful, nurturing classroom where toddlers develop independence, confidence, language, and a love of learning.
Primary Responsibilities
- Plan and implement a Montessori program based on each child's individual developmental needs
- Prepare and maintain a beautiful Montessori toddler environment, including classroom materials and organization
- Present Montessori lessons that foster independence, practical life skills, language development, movement, and self-care
- Observe, assess, and document each child's growth and progress
- Support children through respectful guidance and age-appropriate social-emotional development
- Partner with assistant teachers to maintain a calm, consistent, and engaging classroom
- Maintain accurate attendance and classroom records
- Implement the daily classroom schedule, including work cycle, outdoor time, meals, toileting routines, rest time, and enrichment activities
- Foster independence by encouraging self-help skills and allowing children to do as much as possible for themselves
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and inviting classroom environment
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Follow Texas Minimum Standards and school policies
Qualifications
- Montessori Toddler Certification (Ages 18 Months–3 Years) from an AMS, AMI, or MACTE-accredited Montessori training program is required
- Minimum of two (2) years of Montessori toddler classroom experience preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- CPR & First Aid Certified (or willing to obtain)
- Passionate about Montessori education and supporting the unique developmental needs of toddlers
- Spanish-English bilingual skills are a plus, but not required
