Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience decorating cakes in a bakery or similar setting.
- Strong foundation in cake decorating techniques:
- Piping (buttercream, royal icing)
- Fondant work
- Basic airbrushing (a plus!)
- Experience with various decorating tools and equipment
- Keen eye for detail and a passion for creating visually stunning cakes.
- Ability to follow cake designs and specifications while also offering creative suggestions.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with customers and ensure their vision comes to life.
- A team player with a positive attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to food safety and sanitation.
Bonus points for:
- Experience with specialty cake decorating techniques (sugar flowers, cake sculpting, etc.)
- Knowledge of cake trends and current styles.
