Sugar Land Counseling Center, established in 2006, provides mental health services to individuals ages 3 and up both in person and online across Texas. A diverse team of licensed clinicians offers individual, couples, family, and group therapy to address a wide range of behavioral and emotional needs. The center also provides psychological evaluations for autism, ADHD, learning differences, SLD, giftedness, and dementia, supporting clients through comprehensive assessment and treatment planning. We also provide medication management. Counseling services are available seven days a week, and the practice accepts most major insurances, making care accessible to a broad community.

Role Description

The Mental Health Clinician will provide direct therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and/or adults through individual, family, and group counseling on-site in Sugar Land, TX, and/or remotely. This role includes conducting intake assessments, developing treatment plans, delivering evidence-based interventions, and maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation. The clinician can collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, participate in case consultations, and coordinate care with outside providers, schools, and community resources when appropriate. Additional responsibilities include monitoring client progress, providing psychoeducation to clients and families, and adhering to ethical, legal, and organizational standards of practice.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation to assess, diagnose, and treat a range of mental health concerns.
• Current licensure or provisional licensure in Texas as LPC, LMFT, LCSW, Psychologist, LPA, or LPC-A or equivalent (or eligibility for licensure within a defined timeframe).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with proficiency in using electronic health records.
• Experience with specialized modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR) is preferred.
