Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage options.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Clover POS
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, maintaining proper drink service etiquette.
- Process sales transactions accurately while handling cash and credit card payments securely.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales through suggestive selling techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and adhering to food safety protocols.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any guest concerns promptly.
- Support guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing questions about menu items like wine or spirits, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
- Assist with food handling, basic math calculations for bills or change, and supporting other restaurant operations as needed.
Experience
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine, and drink pairing enhances guest engagement.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality are essential.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking between serving tables and processing sales.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately are required.
- Experience with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures ensures compliance with health regulations.
