What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiving Clerk position at Suffolk Regional OTB / Jake's 58 Casino Hotel?
Core Responsibilities:
• Receive items from various departments and distribute accordingly.
• Effectively communicate with all department supervisors and managers to manage deliverables.
• Direct and assist department managers in following PO & receiving guidelines as outlined by the Company.
• Reviewing variances daily and exercising independent judgement to resolve issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all workspaces.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Must be able to obtain a New York State Gaming License.
• Experience with Stratton Warren Systems or similar inventory management.
• Proficient with computer applications including components of Microsoft Office.
• Proficient with reading, speaking, and understanding English.
• Experience with Warehouse Inventory, Purchase Orders, Delivery Forms, Invoices and data entry.
• Ability to reconcile invoicing with requisitions.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of accurate work
• Strong communication, writing, and math skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet scheduled deadlines
• Be a team-player and possess the ability to work cooperatively with other departments.
• Must be able to obtain a NY Gaming License and maintain it in good standing.
Environmental Working Conditions:
• Exposed to outdoors and variable temperatures, including extreme hot and cold depending on the season
• Exposed to fumes from delivery trucks and other equipment
Physical Requirement
• Able to stand for a long period of time.
• Ability to lift/move/maneuver boxes.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting and reaching, during entire length of shift
Other:
• Ability to work flexible hours; this includes weekends, holidays and occasional after-hours.
