Job Summary:
Line Cooks are responsible for preparing and executing menu items according to recipe standards with consistency, speed, and quality. They maintain a clean and organized station, assist with prep, and ensure all food meets safety and sanitation guidelines in a high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items to recipe specifications and presentation standards
- Set up and stock the workstation with necessary supplies before each shift
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the station and kitchen areas
- Communicate with the kitchen team to ensure proper timing and ticket flow
- Assist with prep, storage, and rotation of ingredients and supplies
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Support teammates and contribute to a positive, efficient kitchen environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience as a line cook in a high-volume restaurant preferred
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation standards
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a hot environment
- Attention to detail, consistency, and pride in food quality
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
