We’re seeking a motivated and compassionate Oral Surgery Assistant to support our surgeons and provide exceptional patient care. This role includes preparing patients for procedures, assisting chairside during surgery, monitoring vitals, taking digital X-rays, sterilizing instruments, and providing post-operative instructions. Additional clerical support may be needed as part of our collaborative team environment.Key ResponsibilitiesWelcome and prepare patients for surgeryTake digital X-rays and scansAssist the surgeon during procedures (suction, instrument exchange, monitoring)Monitor patient positioning and vital signsDocument treatment information as neededProvide clear post-operative instructionsSterilize instruments and prepare surgical traysTake impressions when requiredSuffolk Oral Surgery Associates, LLP reserves the right to modify responsibilities as needed.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (Dental Assistant certification preferred)1–3 years of surgical assisting experience preferred; dental assisting experience consideredCPR certification required; DAANCE certification a plusAbility to travel between three office locationsAvailability for occasional weekend hoursSkills & AttributesStrong communication skills and calm, professional demeanorAttentive, proactive, and team-orientedAbility to follow direction and monitor patient needs effectively
Salary : $18 - $23
