Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mobile Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality blood collection services in various settings, ensuring patient comfort and safety. As a Mobile Phlebotomist, you will travel to patients' locations, including homes and healthcare facilities, to perform venipuncture and blood sampling procedures. Your expertise in phlebotomy and patient care will be essential in delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Duties
- Perform venipuncture and blood sampling using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and sample integrity.
- Collect specimens for laboratory testing while adhering to established laboratory procedures and protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and samples collected.
- Provide excellent patient care by ensuring a comfortable experience during the blood draw process.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding procedures, answering any questions or concerns they may have.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and follow-up as necessary.
- Stay updated on medical terminology, physiology knowledge, and laboratory techniques relevant to phlebotomy.
Experience
- Proven experience in phlebotomy or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with laboratory techniques and procedures is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare environment.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care.
