Position Summary
Sueep is seeking a hands-on Painting Supervisor to oversee commercial painting projects from start to finish. This individual will manage crews, maintain quality standards, ensure projects stay on schedule, and communicate with project managers and clients. The ideal candidate has experience supervising commercial painting crews, leading by example, and delivering high-quality work safely and efficiently.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management
- Supervise daily painting operations on commercial and multifamily job sites.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and project schedules.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Review project scope and communicate daily goals to crews.
- Conduct site walkthroughs before, during, and after project completion.
Crew Leadership
- Lead crews of painters and subcontractors.
- Train new employees on Sueep’s quality and safety standards.
- Assign daily tasks and monitor productivity.
- Maintain positive team morale and accountability.
- Verify employee attendance and timekeeping.
Quality Control
- Inspect work throughout each phase of the project.
- Ensure proper surface preparation, masking, repairs, priming, and finishing.
- Perform punch list inspections before turnover.
- Ensure projects meet Sueep’s quality standards and client expectations.
Safety
- Enforce OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct daily safety briefings.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and equipment.
- Report accidents or safety concerns immediately.
Client Communication
- Serve as the primary field contact for customers and project managers.
- Provide daily progress updates.
- Address client concerns professionally and promptly.
- Coordinate schedule changes when necessary.
Inventory & Equipment
- Monitor paint, tools, and material inventory.
- Coordinate deliveries with the office.
- Maintain company vehicles, lifts, sprayers, and equipment.
- Prevent unnecessary waste of materials.
Documentation
- Submit daily progress reports.
- Upload site photos before, during, and after completion.
- Document change orders and additional work opportunities.
- Complete final quality checklist before project closeout.
Qualifications
- 5 years of commercial painting experience.
- 2 years supervising painting crews.
- Experience with multifamily, commercial, and post-construction painting.
- Ability to read plans and understand project specifications.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders, lifts, and scaffolding.
