Responsibilities and Duties
- Aid drivers in navigating routes and finding customers.
- Ensures full customer satisfaction and maintains a friendly, helpful demeanor.
- Collects residential refuse, recyclable materials, yard waste, and bulky waste items such as furniture.
- Cleans area around collection containers and trucks during route collection.
- Operates cart lift mechanism to dump collection carts.
- Operates packer blade mechanism to compress refuse.
- Maintain knowledge of operating trucks and other loading equipment safely.
- Directs traffic and guides truck operations in congested areas of the collection route.
- The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
Job Qualifications
- Any combination of education and experience is equivalent to completion of high school.
- Ability to lift, push or pull weights over 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
- Must be able to stand and walk 8-10 hours.
