Position Overview
We are looking for a dependable Dishwasher / Prep Support team member who takes pride in their work, brings a positive attitude, and enjoys contributing to a team environment. This position primarily focuses on dishwashing while also supporting the kitchen with basic food preparation and organization. The right candidate will be dependable, positive, and willing to help wherever needed to keep the kitchen running smoothly. There is opportunity to grow into additional prep responsibilities and other back-of-house roles for team members who demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
Dishwashing Duties
- Operate the dishwashing station, ensuring all dishes, utensils, pots, and pans are cleaned and sanitized
- Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area
- Ensure cookware and kitchen tools are clean and ready during service
- Remove trash and maintain sanitation standards
- Follow all health and safety regulations
Prep Support Duties
- Assist with basic food preparation such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients
- Help organize and stock kitchen and storage areas
- Support cooks during busy service periods as directed
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
Qualifications
- Strong work ethic and positive, team-focused attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Clear and professional communication with team members and supervisors in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Reliable and organized
- Willingness to learn and grow within the kitchen team
- Previous kitchen or dishwashing experience is helpful but not required
Schedule Expectations
- Part-time position
- Evening and weekend availability is required
- Evening & Night shifts available
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Ability to work in a hot, wet, and fast-paced kitchen environment
- Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
