Laundry Attendant – Afternoon Shift
Location: Portsmouth, NH (West End)
Pay: $18/hour to start tips
Raise to $19/hour after 60 days based on reliability and performance
Hours: 20–35 hours per week
Available Shifts:
- 11 AM – 5 PM
Job Type: Part-time, in-person
Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and friendly Laundry Attendant to join our busy laundromat in Portsmouth’s West End.
This is an active, hands-on job that combines customer service with processing wash-dry-fold laundry orders. You will be on your feet most of the shift and may work independently during afternoon hours.
If you like staying busy, working independently, and being part of a small team, this could be a great fit.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and answer questions
- Process drop-off and pick-up laundry orders
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) system
- Perform store opening duties for morning shifts
- Keep the store clean, organized, and welcoming
- Monitor supplies and assist with basic inventory
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for most of a 6 hour shift
- Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
- Regularly lift laundry bags up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs
Qualifications
- Reliable and punctual
- Friendly and customer-service oriented
- Comfortable working independently
- Able to stay organized in a busy environment
Customer service experience is helpful but not required.
No laundry experience necessary — we will train the right person.
