General position summary: The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) is a strategic executive leadership role responsible for the overall commercial sales strategy and revenue generation of the organization. The CCO will lead the commercial functions focusing on the overall sales strategy and market positioning of the Workplace Solutions business with direct leadership of the national sales & operations business, marketing, channel partnerships, customer success, and pricing strategies. This leader will partner and engage with local leaders and sales teams to ensure the overall sales strategies drive success at the enterprise level. This individual plays a critical role in driving growth, expanding market share, and ensuring a customer-centric approach across all business touchpoints. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Sales Strategy & Execution Design and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that maximizes revenue and margins across all products, services, and markets. Lead, manage, and scale sales teams (regional and national) with a focus on performance, accountability, and results. Oversee the creation of sales strategies, incentive structures, and go-to-market plans. Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) that drive sales productivity and predictability. Introduce modern sales methodologies, CRM optimization, and forecasting processes to drive performance excellence. Develop sales enablement programs, training, and tools that elevate team capabilities. Market Positioning & Growth Develop and articulate differentiated market positioning and value proposition that strengthens the company’s brand in competitive landscapes. Analyze market trends, competitor movements, and customer behavior to identify new opportunities and areas of risk. Drive go-to-market strategies for new product launches, market expansion, and customer segments. Lead pricing, packaging, and channel strategies to optimize customer acquisition and retention. Strategic Leadership Develop and execute the company’s commercial strategy in alignment with overall business goals. Identify and capitalize on market opportunities to drive revenue and margin growth. Collaborate with the President and leadership team on strategic planning and corporate direction. Represent the commercial voice at the executive table, contributing to cross-functional decisions. Marketing & Brand Management Oversee the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, traditional, and partner channels. Ensure consistent and impactful brand messaging and positioning in the marketplace. Drive data-driven marketing strategies using customer insights, market trends, and competitive analysis. Customer Success & Experience Champion a customer-first culture, ensuring exceptional service delivery, retention, and satisfaction. Collaborate with operations and product teams to refine the customer journey and improve lifecycle value. Establish feedback loops to ensure customer insights influence product and service development. Business Development & Partnerships Identify, negotiate, and establish strategic partnerships to support growth and innovation. Explore new markets, channels, and business models for revenue diversification. Monitor emerging trends and competitive movements to inform partnership strategies. Team Management & Development Build, lead, and mentor high-performing commercial teams across disciplines. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, or a related field (MBA or similar advanced degree preferred). 15 years of progressive leadership experience in commercial roles, preferably in (industry: e.g., commercial moving, commercial real estate, outsourcing services, healthcare). Successfully built, mentored, and lead sales teams of 50 employees (including business development, sales, marketing) Proven experience in sales leadership management is required. Established track record of driving revenue growth and leading cross-functional teams in complex environments. Strong understanding of sales, marketing, business development, and customer success functions. Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. Experience working with CRM, analytics platforms, and commercial performance tools. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Operations: To perform this role successfully, an individual should have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to learn and effectively use software applications such as move management, accounting/billing, HRIS (Human Resources Information System), timekeeping and other applications used in the performance of job duties.
