Title: Accounting Manager
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30AM – 5:00PM
Salary: $83,000-$93,000
This is a hybrid position. Office hours required on Wednesday and Thursday. Applicant should reside in Towson, MD or the surrounding area.

General Purpose of the Job:
The Accounting Manager oversees all day-to-day financial activities including accounts receivable, accounts payable, expense reporting, general ledger, banking, and tax filing.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversee the AR Billing Associate and Lead Accounting Associate, ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations to assess and enhance employee performance.
- Identify and address training needs to support employee development and continuous improvement.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Review and approve payment runs and customer invoicing, ensuring compliance with company policies and proper authorization procedures.
- Review and analyze balance sheets, revenue and expense accounts, and prepare associated monthly journal entries.
- Perform month-end closing processes including review and reconciliation of all general ledger and bank accounts ensuring that all discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
- Manage daily cash activities.
- Monitor and track aging reports for both AP and AR, addressing inconsistencies, late payments, and outstanding balances.
- Assist the Controller with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Assist with year-end analysis and preparation of work papers for the year-end audit.
- Work closely with internal departments to address billing or payment issues and improve communication across functions.
- Provide guidance and training to staff to ensure high levels of accuracy, efficiency, and professional growth.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience with Certinia Financial Management system strongly preferred.
- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration required.
- Five years or more of related experience required.
- Experience managing Finance staff.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge and understanding of accounting theory, principles, practices and regulations including GAAP.
Working Conditions:
Hybrid position. Work is normally performed at Success for All’s Towson Office on Wednesday and Thursday’s. Additional office days may be scheduled as needed.
