POSITION SUMMARY
Performs payroll procedures reports to Controller.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Oversee Payroll Department including Time and Attendance Assistant
· Process and prepare bi-weekly payroll, including journal entries and accruals
· Review new hires, maintain change of status, process separations and terminations
· Process various earnings, deductions and taxes; disability, garnishments, 401k deductions, state, federal and
local taxes
· Maintain benefits, including health, dental/vision, disability, vacation, sick pay and 401K
· Work closely with our health insurance broker, with annual open health insurance enrollment process
for all Team Members
· Administer the organization’s retirement plan (401K) working with ADP
· Work closely and coordinate with Team Member Experience Department, on organization's
leave of absence program, EDD unemployment, EDD Disability, etc.
· Provide information or direction on inquiries for garnishments/payroll processes from management,
· Team Members and third parties
· Process benefits packages for all newly eligible Team Members
· Communicate and respond to Team Members regarding earnings, deductions, and taxes
· Reconciliation of bi-weekly payroll for all hours (regular, sick, vacation, holiday, overtime, etc.).
· Review stipends and garnishments
· Work closely with Paycom with multi-state registration
· Maintain Affordable Care Act monthly
· Full Time Equivalent (FTE) meeting on Quarterly basis
· Provide Team Members training with Paycom and reporting
· Assist Controller/CFO with month-end closing.
· Assist with other projects as needed
Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
· Demonstrates computer literacy skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Possess excellent communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
· Must be accurate and attentive to detail.
· Payroll experience with Paycom is a MUST
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s or equivalent required.
- MS Excel: 1 year (Required)
- Payroll: 2 years (Required)
Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
