The Role
We are seeking highly motivated and passionate educators to join our team as High School Teachers. As a member of our community, you will be part of a dynamic team committed to teaching and preparing children from low-income neighborhoods to become self-assured thinkers and leaders.
Responsibilities
- Teach a range of subjects, including literature, science, history, and mathematics
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of all learners
- Assess and analyze data to chart student growth and achievement
- Collaborate with colleagues to drive school-wide initiatives and improve student outcomes
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant academic major (e.g., biology, history, chemistry, economics, physics, English, mathematics, engineering)
- Ability to work in person in New York City (with a $2500 stipend for qualified relocations)
- Passion for content and a commitment to delivering exceptional teaching practices
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, with experience juggling multiple responsibilities
- Strong emotional intelligence and ability to build trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and families
