- Handle cash transactions using a cash register or POS system
- Upsell additional items to customers to increase sales
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations during all stages of food preparation
Skills
- Experience in a grocery store, deli, or similar environment is preferred
- Proficient in cash handling and using a cash register
- Knowledge of retail math for transactions and inventory management
- Ability to upsell products and provide excellent customer service
- Familiarity with POS systems for order processing
- Understanding of food safety practices and regulations
- Competence in food preparation techniques for sandwiches
