Duties
- Prepare a variety of sandwiches, wraps, and salads according to established recipes and customer specifications
- Ensure all food handling practices meet sanitation and safety standards, including proper food storage and cleanliness
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders accurately and efficiently
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods, maintaining high service standards
- Upsell menu items by recommending add-ons or upgrades to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen equipment, and dining areas through regular bussing and sanitation routines
- Assist with cashiering duties including cash handling, processing payments, and providing excellent customer service
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or working in a quick service or fast food restaurant is preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order calculations
- Experience working in a café, grocery store, or retail food industry is advantageous
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks involved in food prep and cleaning
