Duties
- Prepare fresh sandwiches and salads according to established recipes and customer preferences, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, including proper food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices.
- Assist customers with menu selections, upselling items to enhance their experience while increasing sales.
- Manage time effectively during busy hours to serve customers quickly without compromising quality or safety.
- Support food industry standards by adhering to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Help with bussing tables and maintaining a tidy dining area to ensure a welcoming environment for guests.
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or quick-service restaurants is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order assembly are important.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is highly desirable.
- Experience working in a café, grocery store, or retail environment can provide a strong foundation for success in this role.
