Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of fresh sandwiches, salads, and other menu items according to company standards and recipes
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently
- Manage customer orders with professionalism, ensuring quick service and satisfaction
- Upsell additional menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the workspace, including food handling areas and kitchen equipment
- Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, and manage retail sales transactions with accuracy
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including slicers, ovens, toasters, and refrigeration units
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and storage practices at all times
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming environment
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, quick service restaurants, or fast food environments
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales processing
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and order calculations
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures in a food industry setting
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic understanding of retail sales transactions and upselling techniques
- Previous restaurant or café experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided
