Responsibilities
- Prepare fresh sandwiches and food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Manage food service customer orders from start to finish, including taking orders, upselling menu items, and handling cash transactions.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace by adhering to food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including slicers, ovens, and other food prep tools.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu options, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Assist with retail sales transactions and cash register operations while processing cash handling with accuracy.
- Support team members in maintaining a quick service environment by managing time efficiently during busy periods.
- Uphold food safety management practices by following sanitation guidelines and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
Experience
- Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in food preparation, food handling, or culinary roles is advantageous.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in order processing.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks swiftly while maintaining quality standards.
- Proven customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently and create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions accurately, and managing register operations.
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely within a restaurant or café setting is desirable.
